Stephen Roberts as born 18th July, 1864 to Jane & John Roberts.  In 1885 he married Ann Mahany, the 1871 census shows Ann living with her parents at King Street, Neath and records her Father's occupation as a plasterer.  Stephen was born in Llanegwad, Carmarthenshire and Ann Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire at the time of their marriage Stephen was living with his brother John in Neath and Ann's family had also

moved to Neath.
